I have my shield set up as a Plex server and have my cordcutter set up and working. When I use the dvr wizard in plex it detects the cordcutter fine. When i click on start scan it scans and finds channels as it scanning however when it reaches 100% it says no channels found. I’ve uninstalled plex and reinstalled it… updated it… I’ve tried different firmwares on the cordcutter… no diffrence. Ive tried wired and wireless connections… I’ve accessed plex server from my phone… a linux computer and a windows computer… same thing. I couldn’t get mine to work either. I switched to a HDHomerun Connect.
How is the HDHR Connect working for you with Plex? Considering making the move myself.
it worked better when i had Plex running on a PC with an i7 processor. The shield has issues playing live HD tv and also when it records the HD channels, it has audio sync issues. When I use the Kodi app, it streams live TV fine. I am thinking of going to an HDHR Extend since it does transcoding at the box.
