Hi. Very new to all things Plex so please bear with me. I have an Nvidia Shield TV Pro 2019 and the Hauppauge dual tuner, and I signed up for a Plex Pass so I can watch live tv via the Shield. I’ve connected the tuner to my desktop and ran the WinTV 10 app to scan for all the channels - it found 136 channels, and I am able to watch them on the desktop without any issue. However, when I connect it to the Shield and then go to plex.tv/web to setup the DVR, sometimes it finds it and sometimes I just get the orange circle of death but, when it does find it, it shows 0 channels. There is nowhere to select “scan” so I’m not sure what to do to rectify this. I did look at the Live Channels app but it doesn’t show the tuner as an option for a source. I’m sure it’s just my ignorance here, but the whole process does not seem very intuitive, and I can’t seem to find anything on the usual google searches that addresses this. I would be extremely grateful if anyone out there can assist. Thanks
Update: I have updated the server version to the latest available but still having issues setting up the tuner. Now when I select “Set Up Plex DVR” it just gives me the spinning orange circle, and never presents me with the Hauppauge tuner to select. Please help!
In case this is relevant, I had initially set up the PMS on the Shield but after having reviewed several sites offering advice on these matters, I removed it. The PMS now resides on my MyCloudEX2Ultra, which has been mounted on the Shield.
