Hi everyone,
I’ve looked almost every where before posting. I have issues with infinite loading times when I set the subtitles on.
I’ve been using Plex Pass for years and I’ve got no issues like this before. Please advise.
My setup is on a Nvidia shield and everything is fine when I’m watching a movie without subtitles. It runs smoothly and such.
However when I add subtitles (.SRT subtitles) that went along the downloaded .mkv file ou that I downloaded with the Search, it goes into infinite loading.
Like the movie never starts. When I press “back”, remove the subs, and run the movie, it plays flawlessly. I’ve tried this with a dozen different movies and the issue is always the same.
When I was trying to get help on the internet they mentioned burned subtitles and I’ve already tried the “Automatic” vs “Only Image Formats” options and none solve my problem.
They also say nothing weird should appear with .SRT files but I only work with these and it doesn’t work anymore. For no reason.
It’s really annoying and kills everything because I’m not a native English speaker and I need those subtitles.
Please advise and help me fix it because I’m clearly wasting money on the subscription if I can’t watch with subs…
I had a similar problem and all I had to do was go into settings and make sure that the Burn Subtitle option was set to Automatic.
I am curious as to why SRT files won’t work. Do they not load?
Yeah this is set as Automatic. I also tried setting the other Only Image Formats for a day after rebooting the shield and both have the same results.
The .SRT doesn’t load indeed. I don’t know why. It’s frustrating. It ran smoothly some months before.
Yeah it is turned off.
There is no error message actually the loading spinner keeps spinning and nothing happens. I can press Back and go back to the movie’s page.
