Nvidia Shield player will not jump backwards near end of video

This just recently started on my Shield. When I am at the end of the program and I try to jump backwards in the video playback, the entire stream hangs and will not resume playing. I can attempt to go back further in the video, and I can see the preview image from where I am in the file, but playback never resumes. Unlike the similar topic below, if I back out and play again, it will start the program over from the very beginning and I then need to skip to the end, but not too far, to see the last 30-60 seconds of the video.

Similar topic/issue here started back in 2018, but closed nearly 2 years ago.
