Just recently purchased an Nvidia Shield TV, and i often find i am not sure what tv episode is selected.
The thumbnail is slightly lifted up from the rest, and has a slightly noticeable lighter tint, but i got to admit i have to take a few double takes to realise that it is selected lol.
Could be my eyes, but I can’t help feel this isn’t something i should not have to think about or check. It should stand out.
Just my two cents and all that.
That design change is really terrible. I don’t see any advantage of the carousel view over a list view. It makes navigation so much harder and as mr3rown described, you can barely notice where the current focus is.
This is especially annoying for seasons that you want to rewatch as you cannot even use the viewing progress bar as indicator. For most series I use the episode names to remember where i left, which is a hassle now.
Haven’t spoken to anyone that prefers the new layout (including putting season tabs above the actual series…).
I could not agree me. I find myself having to do this all the time.
