Odd choice on when Prime Time begins in EPG

On the weekend I will often review the EPG for the upcoming week to see what’s on in prime time. To me, prime time is 8:00 to 11:00 since this is when most new programming is on. So I want it to be easy to go through the guide day by day showing that time range. But you can’t do that.

You click the day dropdown box, pick the day, then the time range dropdown appears and you pick that. The only relevant choices are Prime Time (which plex thinks starts at 5:00) and Late Night (which plex thinks starts at 10:00). Either way, I have to click a bunch of times to scroll the guide to where I want. Then I have to do it all again for the next day.

It’s just not sensible for it to be so cumbersome to see what’s on in prime time each day. In 1920x1080 video resolution, the guide is wide enough to show the 3 hours I want to see. It just never picks the starting time that I want.

I’m thinking this is a time zone or location issue. But there’s nothing in the options about what time zone I’m in. I had to type in a postal code to set up the guide. So the program should know where I am (within a close range).

Anyway, I would like this to work better. Maybe someone could explain to me how I convince the Plex Media Player that I’m on eastern standard time.

If the top of grid had two buttons (Next Day day Prev Day), this would be another acceptable solution. I would need to navigate to the correct starting time once. After that, I could click Next Day to show guide for the next day, starting at the same time. This would make it much easier to go through the guide day by day to see what’s on during a specific time range.
