Odd issue with Plex not locating files

Server Version#: 1.40.4.8679

I have, as I said, an odd issue. Briefly, I have a perfectly functional server running in my house. I have an outbuilding, and installed a Plex server there. Windows 10 64 bit in building 11 in house.

It finds my mapped drive fine. It finds the files in music and movies fine, but libraries tagged “other videos” it simply refuses to add the contents to the library. (edit: great, all my indents are gone, bu I’m pretty sure you get the idea)

Layout

 <mapped drive>
   \media
     \movies
         bunch of files
      \music
         bunch of sub folders
          files for that album
      \vacations
         bunch of files
     \parties
         bunch of files

and so forth. Now here is the kicker. If I set up a library and call it “movies” and name it “vacations” and point it to that directory it will scan the library, make posters (naturally, they are all screwed up, as they aren’t movies), but they will play. If I do the same thing: create a library, “other videos” name it “vacations”, point it to the same directory as before, scan it - the library is empty (even though it saw each file as I browsed for the folder), and even though it runs perfectly on the server in the house.

What am I or it doing wrong??

Please name the exact Scanner and Agent that have been set in the properties of your library, on the Advanced tab.

Thank you!!

I set up the house server over a year ago and never used it, I went into advanced and saw how I had set it up differently, made adjustments to the new server, and it is right this second busy picking up all the files.

Much appreciated.
