So here’s a weird and frustrating problem… I have four movies in my library. When I view my movies, they show up normally. However, all four; 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954), David Bowie - On Stage Live 1978, 2001 A Space Odyssey (1968), and 2010 The Year We Make Contact (1984) show up in the TV Shows tab as “Disneyland, Season 1” with 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea titled “Man in Space.”
I was able to edit the names, but there’s no way to remove the incorrect Disneyland show. This had originally started with just 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, and then it would grab a random movie… just earlier today it was “Wonder Woman 1984” which became one of the Disneyland episodes (with the wrong title). I’ve tried removing 20,000 Leagues and adding it again, but the problem persists.
All my movies are named correctly and in a Movies folder in my Plex folder on my media drive. Every other file I have, including TV shows are unaffected.
Obviously this is just an annoyance, since the actual movies show up correctly in Plex. This is just a phantom TV series.
Edit the library and check the folders added to the TV library.
Make sure those movies have not been inadvertently added.
Plex does not support mixing movies and TV shows in the same library. If done, it can lead to inconsistent behavior.
As I said, Movies are in their own folder. TV shows are in a separate folder. This has worked perfectly for a long time (at least 10 years). Everything is named as per Plex’ standards.
How do you inadvertently add a movie? I added them to the movies folder, and they are named correctly. They still show up as movies, but Plex decided to make four of them into a Disneyland TV series.

Sometimes, when what you describe happens, it is because a folder with movies has inadvertently been added to a TV show library.
This can result in some, but not all, movies appearing in a TV show library.
I was suggesting you verify the folders added to the TV Show library. Make sure they are correct, and do not accidentally include a path whereby Plex would also scan the movies.
A second suggestion is to verify the file location of the movies that appear in the TV show library. This will ensure a copy of the movie has not unintentionally been added in the wrong location.
Look at the Media Info for the files in the TV Show library (not the movie in the Movie library).
Verify that the file is in the correct location.
