Odd network lag then spikes, only when PMP is open on host machine.

So i noticed that my network was having some odd issues a while ago and Ive finally found out the culprit…maybe.

I use Networx to keep an eye on my usage and other network stuff, and it does the following

The points where it drops to 0 are while plex media player is open. So far it doesnt matter if im watching something or not…the issue is there every couple minutes or so which causes internet lag.

My computer is hardwired into an actiontec fios router…and if plex media player isn’t open, everything runs smooth.

**Any thoughts on whats happening here? **i have 100mbps up and down, directly wired to router. This does what it looks like, basically queuing up data and then sending it…which makes browsing the internet or streaming to clients with low cache unpleasant.

This isn’t consistent, I’m thinking about getting a new router. And maybe a second network card
