I’m playing with the settings of flex media server, and I wondered if the Odroid xu4 can transcode the H265.
I saw some tutorials the show how to modify the ‘main.js’ file, and I did them but it was unsuccessful.
Have someone here tried to decode a H265 file through with plex?

Plex transcoder is disabled on ARM platforms.
A little update, I succeed to run H265 videos on my apple TV, but not yet on the web version.
I’ve only tried with 720p
And I just tried with 1080p and it works fine. The 4k is hard to load, but work too !
I’m running the ubuntu provided with the eMMC sold by hardkernel (odroid)

I have an odroid XU-4 (ARM based), yours runs on a x64 architecture. The tests will be different I guess.
I’ve a synology pms and Ubuntu 15.10, I’m thinking of upgrade to the 16.04 one.
Had you run some tests?
I have an Odroid XU4 and am only play a very limited number of movies as I’m unable to get transcoding to work. Can someone please point me to an online tutorial that will help me enable transcoding on my Odroid XU4? I am running Debian Jessie

Transcoding is kind of difficult to achieve…
The best thing to do is to convert your video files into mp4-h264-AAC
Is this still the case? Are ARM platforms still not able to transcode?
