Offline deletion of sync'ed cont

After years of waiting with what is effectively a useless Plex Pass…when will Plex finally get their act together and make it so that users are able to delete sync’ed data when offline? It’s pathetic that users are forced to use VLC, Infuse, or any number of other apps when they travel because Plex can’t figure out how to implement this properly. This is basic functionality, nothing fancy. Users have been asking for it for years but instead we keep getting features nobody asked for.

Dan

what about this isn’t working for you?

Well previously when I tried to delete sync’ed data when offline, it would say it deleted but wouldn’t free up the storage till later on when it eventually sync’ed up to the server. Now when I try to delete a sync’ed item when offline I get an error that it wasn’t able to contact the server.

oh, that
I had considered that a feature to ensure Plex will also remove a potential server version of the synced movie.

But there is no reason it can’t just delete the local copy and make a note that “When I connect to the server again, delete this from the sync’ed list on the server”. When you’re travelling, you want to be able to free up space to make room for photos, etc. And you don’t want to leave your server at home running the whole time just to be able to do that. So this means using another app, which is more of a pain, and which won’t sync up my “watched” status.
