I had the new version forced down my throat by an update this morning as I was getting ready to head to the airport.
The result: metadata for all of my previously downloaded content is missing. I can’t watch any of it from where I left off in a series. It is about as broken as you could have made it for offline viewing. Will downloading it all again fix it? Maybe… but I’m about to board for a 9 hour flight and there’s no time for that.
I sit here now reading through the forum history on this experience upgrade. Early access users hated it. You ignored the feedback and forged ahead. You’ve locked many of the threads where people are telling you loud and clear that they HATE this. It’s like an ostrich sticking its head in a hole. The ignorance is astounding.
If the leadership at plex doesn’t open their ears and listen— plex as a platform will cease to exist. There are plenty of alternatives waiting for opportunity to gain market share by listening to user needs and wants.
ROLL IT BACK and fix it while you still exist.
