"Offline" mode not working correctly on iPhone

I have plex on my PC at home. I do not run it as a server, constantly connected. Instead, I use the app on my iphone, download the music to my phone and use “offline” mode.

This worked fine at first.

Now every time I use the app, under “Sources”, I have two options - “Music”, which is the name of my plex ‘server’ on the home PC - it’s always “offline”, as I don’t connect to my PC.

The other option is “Music (on this device)” - also always shows as “offline”, and always disappears when I select it in the “Sources” view. Why does it disappear? It shows up, I select it, and then it disappears.

So I am forced to select “Music”, which of course is not connected, and proceed to the main screen, where it shows I’m in “offline browsing” mode - but nothing shows up. No music. Nothing. I get the “Houston, we have a problem…” message with space cartoon.

I select my profile icon, “offline browsing” is in fact turned on. Go back out, same thing - “Houston, we have a problem”. Ok, go back into my profile icon, turn offline browsing off. Turn it back on. Go back to the main screen and now my music shows as available. This happens every time I use the app. Shouldn’t I just be able to open the app, choose the “on this device” option from sources and have my music show up without jumping through hoops?

What’s the problem here? First with the “on this device” option that shows up and immediately disappears, and second, with my music not showing up unless I turn off and back on offline browsing?

I’m a paying customer, I’d expect what I’m paying for to work properly.
