I use Plex server on a windows with primary iPad clients. That works pefectly:-)
My issue is when we go on a longer drive like on a vacation then i in the past we always took a laptop installed with plex in the trunk of the Car. Then use a “Virtual Router” that made a hotspot wireless network. Then the kids could stream from the plex server to the ipads perfectly. No internet access but only access from the ipad´s to the local plex server.
But when i do that now the ipad just shows the server to be offline.
The server can ping the iPad´s without a issue so the Hotspot works fine.
I have also tried disable the Windows Firewall but it makes no difference.
What is needed to run the plex setup in this “offline” mode like in the past?
Of Cause i have a Plex Pass and all the iPads are logged on to the account before going offline.
I have looked online for answers, and of cause i have added the local IP scopes to avoid authorization.
What am i doing wrong.
I really appreciate you help as we will be going on vacation in a couple of days.
