Oh my heavens, it's like pulling teeth...

I’ve spent the better part of a day doing google searches and looking at Plex Server to try to find this out…I’ve seen some tempting hints that this is possible but so far I can’t figure out how to do it.

I want to use Plex to access YouTube playlists, play the videos in order, and if I stop and restart on a different device, I want to pick up the playlist where I left off.

I can’t even figure out how to access YouTube though. There is no channel for it.

I downloaded an app called WebTools and installed it on my NAS (a QNAP) but when I open my Plex Server on that QNAP, and load that channel, it wants me to navigate to a web site which I can’t really do from inside Plex. I think there is a third party app for YouTube but I need to get WebTools to work so I can find it. Sigh.

Can someone put me out of my misery and tell me if Plex can even do what I want???

it doesn’t

Thanks. I will stop banging my head against the wall then. It was starting to hurt.

It use to do it. It would attach the Youtube links to your cloud account and you could play it in Plex. I guess they removed it, which is why you can find links to it.

It still works for me…

Chrome add on: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/plexit/cecdpojllfkpochpohgofalkbocacncc?hl=en

Then go to youtube video and watch, then click on the bookmarklet that the add on created. It will scan the webpage searching for the video and add it to plex automatically. Now in Plex, go to “Watch Later” and you will see the video there. Click on it to watch within plex.

I just verified this still works.

they are not asking to link a single video. they are asking to link a youtube playlist
