Old player subtitles bug

Server Version#: 1.40.3.8356
Player Version#: Apple TV 8.34 (8096) with new mpv build.
<If providing server logs please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only debug logging should be enabled>

As the new mpv build does not meet all my requirements yet, I still find myself using the old player at times. (Needed for certain Dolby profiles too if I’m not mistaken?)

Unfortunately with many subtitles - particularly those from open subtitles - get “stuck” on once enabled.

Can’t disable them in the video player or in the menu.

Unsure if this affects iOS.

Yep seems to be external SRT files that get “stuck” on while using the old player.

This includes both opensubtitles and imported files.

Both tvOS and iOS are affected.

Subtitles incorporated into the video file seem to turn off ok.

Only way to turn off a subtitle once a SRT is turned on is to completely delete the SRT file.

@sa2000 always had good success with you following issues up… sorry to tag you but any chance of chasing this up for me?:slight_smile:
