thanks.
You should look for a different solution.
Plex Media Player is a discontinued product. The last release was v2.58 in May 2020.
The Windows installer has been 64-bit since v1.0.2.70, released November 2015.
Even if you could dig up such an old version, it probably would not work correctly given all the changes to Plex Media Server over the last seven years.
I have a backup of the last windows store version with a certificate to install it if you want if can send it to you. I’m not sure if it has 32 bit support but it may be worth giving it a try. Obviously it’s missing a lot of the new features
@FordGuy61 thanks but il if thats the case then i guess ill have to ditch plex, shame it works good but if they dont suport old os especially 32bit then its a show stopper for us. lots of older still functional hardware. just another example of the ewaste endemic in the computer industry.
@gio ben thanks be nice to try how can you send it , i, a bit reluctant to put email in public forum.
If you’re watching media on a desktop/laptop, you can try using Plex Web. I’ve no idea if it will work on a 32-bit OS.
I’ve a 2011 MacBook Pro, which is too old to run the Plex desktop apps, but Plex in Chrome works fine (it is a 64-bit CPU, OS, & browser).
Chrome Enterprise Download, including 32-bit version:
ill tryit , stupid question where do i get it? plex redirects me to apps!
great if you can send it to ph1lwzen@outlook.com (replace 1 with i) ill try it so far im looking at stremio and kodi as more comp[atible alternatives.
Plex Web is the web app that loads when you use a browser to talk to your server.
https://app.plex.tv/desktop or http://plex_server_ip_address:32400/web (use the real IP address of your Plex server)
The online version at app.plex.tv is the most up to date.
Web browsers have limited media playback capability. Expect that anything other than H.264 video and AAC audio will transcode.
I don’t have a 32-bit system with which to test, so no idea if Plex Web will work in a 32-bit browser.
