I have old version plex media server 0.9
All works fine on web
And not connected from Android and LG
On server enable connect without authorization, set allow network.
New versions of the Android and Smart TV apps need a newer version of PMS.
I have no way to update the server

If you can’t update the server, you cannot use the newer versions of Plex clients. We don’t offer older versions of the clients.
One option is to run Plex Media Server on a PC/Mac/Linux system and mount the appropriate directories from the Synology NAS.
This would let you run a current version of Plex Media Server and continue to use the NAS for storage.

sorry there is no backward compatibility.
We offer backwards compatibility for versions we still support. 0.9 came out in 2016 and hasn’t been supported in a long time.

hey. I have similar problem. tried to upgrade Plex version on my old NAS system. Newer version dont work anymore and it messed the old one which was working okish.
is there a chance to get somewhere old synology -arm.spk packagese ? Specifically this one was working PlexMediaServer-0.9.12.4.1192-9a47d21-arm.spk for me.

You minimally need 1.18.5 to connect to Plex.tv
The ARMv5 CPUs were discontinued because they are not powerful enough to run Plex.
Recommendation is to use the NAS as a NAS and host PMS on something else.

Not using Plex.tv, but smart tv can recognize PMS - was working ok before I messed it up
