On my Windows Plex Server, I can get the grid style guide for Live TV and DVR. On my LG Smart TV I can’t seem to find any such option. Am I missing something or is this simply not an option?
While I’m at it, is Live TV and DVR not an option at all for the TiVo Plex client?
There is at present no grid guide for the LG app. If the promise of the UI to be same across all devices becomes reality there is still hope. My concern would be with the LG app that it spans 4 years and numerous versions of WebOS support with earlier versions struggling with low grade processors.
Now for TiVO, your lucky it works at all. End of life is rapidly approaching.
I simply don’t buy the processing power argument. Every smart TV known to main has a guide option built-in. If they can run native guides on the TV, then surely that functionality could be built into Plex as well.
Not necessarily. What third-party developers have access to (API) and what is included natively and available by the manufacturer can be very different.
