Lost 'Live TV' from the 'Plex for LG' app

TV Model#: LG 60UF8500-UB
WebOS#: 2.2.0
Firmware#: 04.05.85
Server Version#: 1.18.5.2260
Player Version#: 4.21.1

I have noticed recently that I can no longer watch live TV from the Plex for LG app.
My TV is running the latest available version of the app from the store and my TV is running the latest firmware available.

I have the tab labeled ‘Live TV & DVR’, however, I don’t see the Guide menu, so I try ‘Browse’ or ‘What’s On’ but I only have the ability to record.

I have the ‘Guide’ available and can watch Live TV on my TCL Ruku TV’s and from my Nvidia Sheild without any issue.

If this coincided with your upgrade of your PMS to 1.18.5 which is actually a beta version, you might want to see if rolling back to 1.18.4 resolves is the issue.

I actually just upgraded to the beta version this morning to see if maybe that would have any effect, which unfortunately it did not.

I also have this problem. I am new to Plex and this is my first post so please excuse me if I have not followed all the protocols. I have the Media Server running on a QNAP NAS. The version is 1.18.4. I have just acquired a new LG TV and installed the Plex App. I have tabs for ‘Whats On’ ‘DVR Schedule’ and ‘Browse’. However there is no ‘Guide’ tab. When I access the Media Server from my Windows Laptop I can see the ‘Guide’ there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Smart TV apps do not have a Grid Guide.

You should however be able to select an item from the What’s On and watch Live TV or Record.

Thank you for your advice. It would be convenient to have the guide and set recordings from the TV. Do you know if this feature is scheduled for a future release?

Please explain how you can watch live tv from what’s on. Have you actually tried. Also you have to guess what show is on from the title of the upcoming show. How are you meant to do that?
