On Deck or continue watching not showing after playing an episode

When I started using Plex a few months ago, after watching an episode pressing back went to a screen that showed the next episode of that series (at the top of the screen) and a row of On Deck or Continue Watching (can’t remember which) along the bottom of the screen. This contained the next episode of the other series being watched. This now only shows the next episode of the series at the top of the screen.

How do I get this feature back as it was really useful?

This is fixed in 8.16

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the reply. When will 8.16 be available?

8.16 is currently in public beta (you can opt-in via Google Play)

It’s not fixed - it’s even worse now! After watching an episode pressing back goes back to the season with no On Deck or continue watching.
After watching an episode I want to see the next episode of all the series that I am watching.

It should take you to the post play screen. If you’re not seeing that, can you give exact steps to reproduce and provide logs from the client, please?

What is meant to be displayed on the post play screen?
Pressing play during the end credits of an episode now goes straight back to the season screen for that show. Before it behaved how I have described. On Android TV I don’t know how to provide logs.

When you’ve played 90%+ of an item, pressing back should bring up a screen showing the last played item, and the next one coming up, with On Deck at the bottom for TV shows, and for Movies, it would show related items. As for logs: Android, Android TV, Fire TV, Portal Logs | Plex Support

That’s not what is displayed. Log logging.txt (1.1 MB)

Can you be more specific about EXACTLY what you do, and the situation, as I’ve just tried it, and it’s working for me :man_shrugging:

Watch an episode. Near the end press back. On the new BETA the screen glitches and then carries on playing. Pressing back again goes to the show season screen. The screen glitch did not happen on the previous version - that’s new. I can’t describe it any further than that! Is it worth uninstalling on the TV then re-installing?

Hmmm, I was a little further ahead on main, but jumping back to the beta, I can see what you’re describing

It behaves exactly the same way on my phone.
