Any reason why I can’t access the On Demand tv shows and movies through my plex server but I can access it on watch.plex.tv.
This would be a nice feature to have. I can access the live tv but not the on demand.
On demand video streams from hosts at plex.tv. Your server is not involved in the process. A Plex Media Server is not required to view on demand content.
Make sure you have enabled the desired on demand services in your Plex account: Online Media Sources.
Make sure you are using a supported client. See Supported Apps (TV Shows) and Supported Apps (Video on Demand).
If you are running a very old version of Plex Media Server, the version of Plex Web may be too old and not support the online services. If this is the case, login to your account using the hosted version of Plex Web, https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/.
Thank you! that worked. I went to the Online Media Sources in my server settings and I enable Movies & TV.
When Plex introduced this features, this option use to be enable. I guess a update turned it off. I never knew it was there. I just know it was gone one day.
