I would like to combine/integrate/streamline my paid streaming services with my plex collection.
The Apple TV app offers (a little bit of) integration between paid services (not all).
I am thinking of something like Justwatch but personalised depending on paid/owned(plex) media. Any ideas?
The new Plex feature “Watchlist” sort of does this. Any item you add to your “Watchlist” in Plex will display which service the item is available to stream on. If you click on - for example - the Netflix icon, it will load up the appropriate player (a web browser if you use the Plex web app or desktop player, or the installed Netflix app if on a smart tv/phone) and load up the show’s entry.
Plex cannot integrate with any streaming services more than that, however. It cannot log into your Netflix account and stream the video. It cannot access your account and show which episode you are on. Plex will likely never gain any of these features, as streaming services usually guard their video streams to only be viewable in their own apps.
