It is an in-app purchase, right? They are not shared within the family, this is a Google limitation. So I guess each member would need to buy the app.
As an alternative you can obtain the Plex pass which will be shared with your Plex home users and therefore no buying of the apps will be necessary.
Well Google (and apple) generally don’t share in-app purchases within the family, so this is not Plex specific. The article shows that it is an in-app purchase, so the info is there. Also family linked accounts are a special case and not everyone is using them.
Whoever buys the app can choose to share it with the Family Group or keep it for themselves. My kids are young, so I do all the purchasing and approving of app.
I’ve never bought features/levels/in-app/etc before. I don’t believe in this micro-transaction nonsense, if I can’t buy the full app up-front, I look for an alternative.
Plex is a reasonable exception as it’s a genuine one-off purchase, just disappointed it doesn’t support the Family Group.
There are app that don’t support Family Library, so it’s up to the dev I’d imagine. Apps says “Eligible for Family Library” at the bottom and have a symbol that looks looks like a heart in a house.
