first of all, we (my family) use plex all the time, so have seen it evolve and get better at an astounding pace, so lets start with that as a positive! but, just recently i feel hurt and let down by the ‘new’ DVR feature. I recently purchased 2 x HDhomerun connects hoping to change from using 4 x XboxOne USB tuners (messy) and the recording would no-longer continue to record 4 x streams at once. i have had to downgrade to 1.6.1 to make it work properly, thus losing the later features of later versions.
I cannot belive that you have removed DVR from Beta when such a glaring bug remains, and has remained, from 1.7.x onwards! This is not the only glaring bug i have found, back to back recordings do not work, 2 x episodes a day do not work, and the constant flip/flopping from TS to MKV and back again! I am enjoying my time with plex, however these unaddressed issues are making me concerned that plex is more concerned with ‘feature now, fix whenever’, when i belive plex should be working towards fixing the broken features, and bugs introduced with later issues. in an ideal world, the 1.8.x editions would be installed and running with no issues on my computer, however, as of now, i wont be installing them until at least the recording scedule is fixed.
Any tips to solving my issues would be much appreciated!
