Online media source restrictions are unreliable

I have all online media sources disabled in my Plex account. I have the Plex app installed on my kids’ Amazon Kindle Fire tablets with a managed user called “Kids” that has access to only specific libraries and specific titles/ratings within those libraries.

However, when I open up the app on the tablet and sign in to the “Kids” user, the home screen shows podcasts at the bottom, any of which can be played. This is unacceptable, since there’s plenty of content there that I don’t want them to access. I’d rather not have to uninstall the app, because they really enjoy being able to play the content I’ve allowed, but I may have to. A 3 and 5 year old just simply shouldn’t have unfettered access to this type of content.

Anyone know how to solve this?

Per:

Do this:

Disabled for Managed Users : Podcasts will be available for the current account but will not appear for any Managed Users in a Plex Home the account administers ( default selection )

If it’s currently Disabled, try Enabling it and then Disabling it again.
