I am particularly interested in Grid by Jeroen (due for beta release soon) and _djh was working on a new Aeon 2017 which looked really slick.
I was quite excited when I saw a theme called Grid… Was/am kinda hoping the finished article has a “grid” or wall view (that isn’t designed for the partially sighted.) What is it with all these huge tiles for a single show/movie poster?
Do people really need the tiles so big that u can only fit 12-18 on screen without clicking/scrolling? Or is that all the skinners just delete everything after they watch and two clicks takes them through their whole library?
Proportioned grid/wall view with info, rotten tomatoes ratings… that’s about it really…
Still its all a positive against PMP v2… 10-15 clicks takes you to the wanted library of the wanted server.
Until I find the above I still find PfK the fastest to get where I wanna go ( @croneter I mean for multiple server users) and as @danjames92 said earlier just run it until it breaks.
You may want to take a look at the Titan skin, it has a few different wall views:
Big Wall will give you 24 covers
Panel Wall will give you 44 covers
Panel will give 33 plus show rating (though not rotten tomato) and flags for the highlighted movie.
Plus the skin itself seems to be almost infinity configurable.
I myself am using the Horizon skin. I find it brilliant and the author is quite open to feedback. But it does not have a wall display that will meet your requirements.
Honestly, at this point I can’t see going back to plex for kodi. PKC does have a few idiosyncrasies with kodi widgets that I’ve pointed out to @croneter, but on the whole works very well. And once you find a skin you like, it is a great experience.

Yeah I love Jurials stuff. I actually prefer Fuse to Horizon tbh… but that definitely had no RT ratings… May be time to talk nicely to him.

Fuse is nice. I didn’t like the fairly limited selection of views and I was also not a fan of the home screen widget slideshow, but overall a very nice skin.
As is Titan, I’d definitely give it a look if a wall with many covers is your main requirement.

Although I’d love to see PfK developed further this was never on Plex’s radar. They stole the devs (hired ) to work on stuff that’s on their radar.
However, from what I read on the Kodi site PfK is open source. Maybe we can convince @croneter to pick this up. His PKC is very good.
OR
Let’s request a new feature such as an option to use an external play strictly for playback.
Gotta face it PfK is dead to Plex, @keithah and @ruuk
Sorry, not interested. PlexKodiConnect beats the official Plex for Kodi any day if I look at my personal use cases
I agree with you @croneter. I use PKC for the companion - and it works very well. However, with your skills you could finish PfK ie intersect the features such the option of a Plex or Kodi UI, both with a good companion and become the defacto PfK.
Now, not sure if this has been talked/discussed already but, whenever I play an Optimized Version of my files with SRT subtitles, no subtitles are actually displayed, even though they are selected. If I play the Original file, it does work. Tried replicating in PMP v1 and it works as expected there. Same with the iOS/Android clients. Looks like something strictly related to this addon.

Great! Hoping to see more development.

Please open up a new thread about this, and post some logs and I can open up an issue on it.
I updated last night and watched a couple of episodes of… things… on my OSMC Vero2.
Using Plex Cloud server it worked OK, from what I can tell - except that the XBMC Trakt.tv addon isn’t scraping what I’m watching any more… Before, it did, but I really don’t know if it’s due to this latest PfK update or any Trakt.tv addon updates that might have occurred.
It was the only way to scrobble to Trakt.tv what I was watching on my Plex Cloud server (cos Plex Cloud doesn’t allow channels) so I’m a bit frustrated that I’ll have to update my Trakt manually, cos I always forget.
Just got an email from plex saying: The Plex for Kodi add-on is now available for all users.
However the website still says it’s PlexPass-only. Can someone in Plex have a look?

Confused; Which Kodi plugin is the newest / bleeding edge? There is a 0.1.1 in the Kodi repository and the Plex repository seems to have this too, as well as the 0.1.0 test version from this thread?
