I would like to only use the Local Media Assets (poster.jpg, etc …) and use local metadata (movie.xml) … and NOT use any embedded metadata in the movie file. And, I don’t want any “external agents”. I’m using (Media Center Master) to get all the metadata and artwork files.
I have the “Local Media Assets” on top in my “Agents” list.
I thought this was the way I had thinks set-up, but lately it doesn’t seem to be working correctly.
- The metadata is missing or not the same as in my movie.xml file
- It’s not using poster.jpg for the movie poster
Any ideas on how to ensure it works the way I’d like it to?
I’m using a Windows 10 machine for my Plex Media Server.
if McM can write an XBMC(now ‘Kodi’)-compatible .nfo file, then you can install the 3rdparty agent XBMC.nfo importer.
there are spearate downloads for movies and tv shows
install them like this:

Thanks … MCM can do XBMC .nfo files … I may use the XBMC.nfo importer … Or, I might modify it to work with my movie.xml files.
I couldn’t get the agents to show-up. I thought I did everything correctly (copy the .bundle files to the Plug-in folder). Any ideas?

.bundle is not files, it is a folder. You must copy this whole folder (and its content of course).
And there are two plugins folders. One in the Plex program folder and one in the [Plex data folder] (https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/202915258-Where-is-the-Plex-Media-Server-data-directory-located- “Plex data folder”)
You must use the one in the Plex data folder.
