Music Bee has this neat feature where you can interpolate fields in a link and basically right click what’s playing and search specified fields in google or whatever (metal archives, for me).
Just trying to understand what you’re asking for…
You want a mechanism to create dynamic URLs, using some attributes of a song / album / artist. You want those links to be accessible in the Plex UI (e.g. via the context menu) to open it — I suppose this will mainly apply to the web app and platforms with their own browsers option to open deep links.
Did I get this right?
I’m trying to look this one up and from I can tell, I think they’re referring to tag links?
If only the screenshot was a little higher so we could read the blue print to see what it’s for.
Possibly this:
Sorry, I edited the picture to include the text.
Tom80H: Pretty much, yeah.
It’s handy when you just want to like… look an album (or song, or artist) up while you’re listening to it. I think it might fit here, but I can see the issue of fitting multiple links in this space. Curating the options might be interesting, as I don’t ever use “sleep timer”…
What you are describing sounds like what’s referred to as 2nd screen, where selecting/ highlighting something will bring up extra info. The issue is how to get and show this info. Keep in mind not all devices have a web browser or allow opening a separate program, so this would likely have to be a native implementation within the Plex clients. Plex would then need to source the data from somewhere.
