Open plex on the media server lead to 401 Unauthorized

Server Version#: 1.29.2.6364
Player Version#:
At first Please excuse my english.

I don’t know when it happened first but after one of the last updates of the plex media server I get the 401 authorization error when I try to open PLEX on the server itself.

http://127.0.0.1:32400/myplex/launch?X-Plex-Token=local-nnnnnnnn-nnnn-nnnn-nnnn-nnnnnnnnnnnn (nnnn… is my token)
brings an authorization error (401 Unauthorized).

Deleting the Plex-Token in the http call, it works: e.g. http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html#!/

The hint in a support article to change my password doesn’t have any effect. Had to insert my credentials but it doesn’t change anything.
Does anybody have an idea ?
Thanks in advance for any hint what I could do.

I just got something similar. I rebooted my PC and when I opened plex if I double click on it in the corner of my PC next to the time in the taskbar, I get – http://127.0.0.1:32400/myplex/launch?X-Plex-Token=local-9b8a2d7f-5a22-4703-aa4c-33211752c64e which brings me to a page - 401 Unauthorized

If I go to http://127.0.0.1:32400/ manually my plex web page opens correctly (as far as I can tell).

I’m running Version 1.29.2.6364

Did you ever get this resolved?
I have the same issue, when I go to just localhost:32400 I can login, but my media is not showing up.

I did not. I just create a shortcut in chrome without the additional baggage.

Try going to http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html#!/
