Yes thats cubox lol.
Still without Rasplex I bought one because Rasplex was going to be ported to the Cubox. Still waiting.
Hi,
sorry, but are there any news on this? Porting actual rasplex to CuBox would be great!
Thanks + BR
Peter
There are now 3 Cubox topics all asking the same question, can we please keep it to one topic as this is the Rasplex sub forum.
No idea when any work will start on looking at porting Rasplex, if ever. Suggest you sell the Cubox on EBay and get a RPi2.
Please note that no offence is meant in this reply.

RPi 2 doesn’t have SPDIF
RPi 2 doesn't have SPDIF
CuBox doesn't have Rasplex :P
Yeah, plz, put some salt on the wound
Yeah, plz, put some salt on the wound :(
Sorry about that but you left it wide open.
Didn't mean to sound harsh.
You do realize though that you are in the Rasplex forums right!? It is called Rasplex because it is a Plex client that runs on a.......RaspberryPi B)
All joking aside I believe they prommised SPDIF support in the next version, with an add-on board!
Disregarding some irrelevant digressions, I'm just going to reply to the original post here.

Since RasPlex is based on OpenELEC, having an OpenELEC distro for any platform would of course make porting RasPlex easier.
But this does not mean that such porting is about to begin in any near future, or perhaps even ever...
The problem is that RasPlex is a 'hobby' project which currently has two dedicated coders, plus a beta-testing group.
And two coders is barely enough to support a single platform, let alone splitting the project up into several platform branches (CuBox is not the only request).
You need to remember that while these coders are dedicated to the project, it's still just a hobby project, so the time dedicated for it is only whatever is left over after real-life demands of jobs and family.
I'm not saying that a RasPlex or other OpenELEC+PHT port will never happen for the CuBox (CuPlex ?).
I'm just saying that right now it isn't in the plans for the RasPlex project.
