OpenGPT returns wrong “not in library” results

Description:

I added my own OpenGPT API key in Plexamp and tested the feature with several prompts. OpenGPT does respond, but the songs it returns are almost all marked as “not in your library,” even though most of them are definitely in my Plex music library.

The tracks exist, are correctly tagged, and are playable in the Plex app — but Plexamp/OpenGPT claims they are missing.

I recorded a video showing the issue.

My setup:

  • Device: iPhone (iOS 26.x)

  • Plexamp version: latest

  • Plex servers: Mac mini M4 + iMac M1 (all updated)

  • Music library: large, all songs locally indexed and playable

  • API: added my own OpenGPT API key manually

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Plexamp

  2. Enter an OpenGPT request using my own API key

  3. OpenGPT generates a list of recommended tracks

  4. Plexamp displays “This track is not in your library” for most results

  5. But these tracks are actually present in my library and can be played normally in Plex/Plexamp

Expected result:

OpenGPT suggestions should correctly match songs in my Plex library.

Actual result:

Plexamp falsely reports that the suggested songs are missing.

Additional notes:

I recorded a video of the issue and can send it if needed.

Thank you for taking a look at this!
