here are an new Issue with the Plex Chanel “Apple Movie Trailers”. Watching an Trailer for example “Trailer 3 - Batman vs. Superman” the Trailer Start Playing but after 9 seconds the picture are freez, audio runs…
Playing the same Trailer with PMP there are no Problems with it. My PMS are on 0.9.14.4

This is an error I saw on old PHT as well. XBMC/KODI has fixed this.
There is an old thread I posted about this, with the possible fix inside - I’m no coder however, but this should put the devs on the right track:
The trick is the following (found in a VLC forum 
"The workaround for now is to disable frame threaded decoding when ffmpeg-HW is enabled. "

Works fine in next release 1.5.1, have checked this today.

Sorry Ned, but with OpenPHT 1.5.1 @ OSX 10.11.3 the issue are still there… checked with “Trailer 3 Batman vs. Superman”

Just checked that specific trailer, you are right, however, it only seems to be certain trailers, I have played several without issues (Kung Fu Panda 3). We’ll have a look.
Incidentally, the Batman vs Superman one plays fine on Rasplex, which is basically the same code!

Issue is ffmpeg, OpenPHT is still using 0.10.16, apparently not too easy to fix as there is no easy way to upgrade without a lot of work backporting HW acceleration code from the newer Kodi version.
Rasplex is using the newer 2.4.12 version of ffmpeg which is why there is no problem.

okay, confirm this. May by there are now an other issue with the new Rasplex… some old Xvid TV Shows having massiv decoding fragments when playing. Looks like when you are jump in an movie forward and wait for the next keyframe… all the time. With OpenPHT this Files are okay…
