OpenPHT not Loading/Starting?

Hello!

I have just found out about the RasPlex project and recently received a Raspberry Pi B (Original, 512MB actually 256MB, 2USB, 100MB ethernet) and flashed an SD card with it to try out.

I am running PMS 1.0, which was released last week sometime.
I flashed several different versions of RasPlex attempting to get one to work, I have had the following issue with all of these versions: 1.6.2, 1.6.1, 1.6.0, 1.0.3.

Currently, when I turn on the Pi, the screen flashed the initial RasPlex (or the others one for 1.0.3) and then changes to the OpenPHT screen. At this point the system no longer progresses. I can see activity lights blinking on the box, but it is unresponsive to SSH, keyboard or mouse, or anything.

I have flashed 2 separate SD cards, one 16GB one 64GB. Both of them I verified are Class 10. My power supply is 5V 1A. The Raspberry Pi runs Raspbian just fine, I am able to get online, run terminal commands and everything, just RasPlex doesn’t work.

If anyone has any suggestions or comments I would be thrilled to have an answer, even if it is that I have something that is incompatible. I have spent hours trying to get this to work and just want to know “why?”

Thanks in advance!

Rhys

I think the recommended power supply is 2A

Definitely a power supply issue.

OK, thanks a lot guys. When I get home I’ll see if I can find a different power supply that runs at 2A. I’ll buy one if I need to. Will let you know if that works. Thanks again!

Well, I bought a new charger, this one to be exact.

The problem persists however. Could it be a network issue perhaps? I am really not sure.

Have you flashed the correct image? There are two, also use only a Class 10 SD card.

Initial startup can take a few minutes on a Raspberry Pi B also note that RasPlex will not run on the initial model B with 256Mb RAM.

Kwiboo, thank you, after checking the number on the RAM chip I can see that this model is the 256MB version, and therefore will not work. Thank you so much for providing me with a solution!
