Hey guys, I recently purchased a Sony Smart TV for the bedroom (use an Apple TV2 with Plex client in the lounge) and have stumbled across what appears to be another application platform for smart TVs that Sony only recently implemented, the Opera TV Store.

What is interesting about the Opera TV Store is their vision for a platform based on HTML5 that can be run on many smart tv’s and PVRs because of the basic and common code.

How hard would it be to write a plex client for The Opera Store, I imagine if a web like version of the client already exists then porting that to HTML5 wouldn’t be that hard at all?

I would LOVE to see development on this - especially because the new TiVo boxes can use the Opera App Store!
