For the first time in history Tivo took a huge step forward and joined forces with Opera and installed the Opera SDK 4.0 on it's flagships of Roamio and Premiere boxes. As of today we have 2 HTML5 apps running the new Youtube and Netflix. If there was anyway of getting a HTML5 client for PLEX for once we would be able to access our materials and beyond. We have the understanding soon we could be accessing a internal browser powered by Opera Tv Store. But that is suppose to be released early next year as the Fall Update is still being deployed.
Something to consider you would be doing the world a huge favor not just for Tivo but all HTML5 devices would be able to access content like never before.
There was a version that meets this need but was shelved called "Plexee" it was created for Boxee before Samsung took over. The soucecode is floating at GoogleDocs. Whom would we reach out to check that status of the application for access to our developers-programmers at TCM?
TCM has made some progress, they tried capturing a Netflix feed but was highly encrypted so now they are focusing energy once again on Youtube considering the facts how Streambaby was born of it's roots. We still have a long way to go, but seek assistance or direction in what other steps could be used.
