Optimise music like videos (for syncing FLACs to phone)

I understand that it’s currently possible to optimise video files for easier syncing with a mobile device, however it would be tremendously helpful if this could be implemented for music as well. Here is my use case:

I have a large library of music comprising mostly of FLACs and ALACs. I listen to them from multiple devices around the home, but I also want to keep a copy on my phone for when I’m not at home. However, right now converting a single album from FLAC/ALAC to mp3 and transfer to my phone can take between 5 and 10 minutes, and my phone screen locks out after five minutes (company phone). So in order to sync any decent number of albums I need to stay beside my phone for hours to make sure the screen stays on. So being able to optimise the FLACs to separate mp3s on my Plex server in the background and only transfe the mp3s would be great.

TL;DR Pre-convert FLACs/ALACs to mp3s for syncing with a mobile device in order to reduce the sync time.

Thanks for a lot!

This is already possible.
Just use the Web app to select your music for syncing.
Then click on Sync and select your phone as the Sync-target.

Transcoding will begin immediately. The transcoded data will be stored temporarily on your server.

But copying the pre-transcoded data to your phone will commence when you activate WiFi on your phone and open the plex app on there.

So you can select the items to sync at anytime, conveniently on a big screen and let your server chew away on transcoding them. For instance when you are still in the office  Later, when you have arrived at home, you put the phone into the charging cradle and let it sync.

I thought I had looked all over for that feature before asking, but I guess I didn’t look hard enough! Thanks a lot of the information!
