I have had this issue for quite some time (close to a year maybe).
I run PMS in a docker on unraid and when “optimize database” is ran is uses a lot of space within the docker.img file and then it stops and clears when the .img file hits 100% capacity. It utilizes over 20GB of data within a about a 20minute span before it hits 100% utilization and then stops and empties whatever it was trying to do and the image returns to the normal utilization level prior to this operation.
I have transcode setup to be outside of the docker.img and same thing with a temporary folder (tmp).
What is utilizing sooooooo much space during the database optimization?
I can only imagine it would have to do with maybe processing “skip intro” or something else that is trying to process a lot of actual video. I don’t know what else would/could possibly eat up that much space. I suppose it could be “chapter” images or something.
I’m hoping someone here has an idea or direction or a specific log to check during this operation. I have had a post over in the unraid forums and everyone there seems stumped and suggested I come over here to perhaps get a better idea.
