Searched the forum, didn’t find an answer so here I go.
- If I select to optimize some media, movies or tv shows, can everyone use these optimized versions or is it just mu user?
- If I “Limit remote stream quality” in the server settings will all my external users use my optimized versions as long as they choose the same resolution?
My thought was to optimize the most watched series as they come in so I don’t have to transcode every episode for every external user who wants to watch it and I’ve set the optimized bitrate and resolution to the max of Limit remote stream quality.
Ofcourse if someone wants another resolutiopn I’ll have to transcode it but 1920x1080 should be the go to choice for most of my users.
Mayby my thinking is flawed but it would be nice to just need to transcode once.
Anyone have any insite to how it works?
