This would be useful for things like deleted scenes in tv shows, or bonus content on movies, etc. A way to keep things organized and make it easy to get from your content to the related bonus content.
That exists! Name the files appropriately and put them in folders with their related media. Most Plex clients will display the extras.
Or are you suggesting something different?

This definitely works. I’m using an „other video“ library for family videos and have e.g. stored a bunch of photo slideshows as local extras to my sister’s wedding video. Those are recognized the same way local extras are recognized in regular movie or tv-show libraries.
