Option to display playback controls at top of screen

I watch Japanese shows with hardcoded english subtitles at the bottom of the screen. Every time I pause/unpause, the subtitles get hidden by the playback controls for a few seconds, and I have to rewind a few seconds if I don’t want to miss anything.

A simple fix would be to allow the playback controls to be displayed at the top of the screen instead of at the bottom. Can we have an option to do this please?

Depending on the client…

Android:
Pressing ‘Pause’ will Pause the stream without bringing up the OSD.
That is Good.

Roku:
Pressing ‘Pause’ will Pause the stream and plaster the OSD all up in your face.
That is Bad.

I don’t want all the controls at the top of the screen.
I want the Roku Team to fix the Pause Button.
