Currently one has to navigate to the settings screen to turn subtitles on or off in the Roku app. It would be nice if there were a “CC” button alongside the Pause/Play, FFWD/RWND, etc. buttons for easier access.
I believe on the Roku player you can toggle captions by pressing the star * button while a video is playing and taking action from the resulting menu.
I found that ‘*’ button can be problematic depending on how other things are set.
That how I used to change the subtitles on or off but sometimes it wouldn’t work or even show the available subtitles…
Learned my lesson and now only use the D-Pad to access it…
But I do like the Idea of bringing it forward to that player area.
