I really like the collections view, and I have quite a number of big collections in there.
But I also have collections that are created automatically, but only contain 1 item.
This doesn’t really make any sense, and currently the only option I have is to delete the collection (keeping the movie), but it would be nice to just keep the collection, and just not show it until it has more items in it?
That way, when I get the next movie in the collection, it will show up by itself, with the two current movies in the collection.
You can configure a threshold for the library to create collections, e.g. only to create collections if you have 2 or 3 items.
When editing the library (… > Manage Library > Edit), check out Minimum automatic collection size on the Advanced tab.
Alternatively you can override the default library preferences for collections to hide that particular collection from the library view (edit the collection and adjust the visibility settings on the advanced tab).
Hi @tom80H
I didn’t notice that in the libraries, that’s great, then at least going forward it will not create collections until there is two.
The hide function is ok, but it only works in the library view, and not the collection view.
2023 clean-up:
- automatic collection creation threshold → implemented
- hide collections from library tab → implemented
- hide collections from collections tab → not supported; should be deleted if necessary
