If we go to edit a library, we have the option to show collections and their items, hide items that are in collections, and disabled… That is a Library-wide option.
It would be great if the options show collections and their items + hide items that are in collections where also in the edit collection window and could overwrite the Library-wide option.
How would I use it:
I have a Must-Watch Collection for my movies sorted to be the first item in movies, for this collection I want to show items and their collection.
Then I have collections (LOTR, Harry Potter etc.), For these, I want to Hide items and only show the collections.
Now, if a Movie is in 2 collections ( eg Must-watch and LOTR ) it makes sense to me that hide Items would overwrite the show items option.
1 on this. Totally agree. Similar implementation as the Live TV & DVR 's “Remove Commercials” option (PLEX Pass) - where you have a “Global” setting at the DVR settings level, and a “local” setting at the show Record Options level.
Can I request another change for the Auto-Collections function…
Just discovered it and think it is great, but where there is only one movie in a library pertaining to a collection, can we not have it in a collection all on its own. In other words, the parameter for a ‘Collection’ is two or move movies within the same library.
