Sometimes the ad detection says things are ads that are not. It would be useful to have a per-season and per-episode feature to turn off the “Skip Ads” button when there are in fact no ads.
To be clear, I’m not just talking about intros, opening credits, or end credits being treated like ads. I’m talking about random segments of the program being marked as ads and the “Skip Ads” button popping up when it is not just useless, but also distracting from viewing the program.
I already set my server to “local detection only” so that it would not pull up crowd-sourced results for where the commercials might be for other people. I chose not to care about the extra processing power it would use. It did not make a difference, it still marked loads of episodes as having ads that did not.
There is no way to turn “Skip Ads” off after Plex swears it found ads in a show where there aren’t any.
