OMG how is this not yet implemented, or at least discussed by Plex mod?
I’d like to repeat the comment by @Hayai05 - as this part is of the most interest to me… I can’t begin to count the number of times I’ve gotten halfway through a tv episode and thought “What the heck did I miss? When did X die? What are they talking about??”
“And if during auto-play at the end of one episode and the next episode in the library is not the next episode of the show then a warning should be shown to the user advising them of the missing episode/s and the option to continue playback or to stop playback (this could also be an option to switch the warning on/off so users an avoid annoying warnings)”
jellyfin has this feature already i would like to have it in plex to - including mark “missing” seasons/episodes as played when i saw them earlier and removed this already seen seasons from directory
Since Discover contains full information on episodes, including information on all aired episodes and unaired episodes, plex should be able to implement displaying information on all episodes, including missing episodes and unaired episodes, in the user’s library as well.
It’s a pretty useful feature that hopefully the plex will implement in the future.
Still not implemented ? How my user will know there is a gap between the ep 5 and 7 ? It’s so sad. 10 years and not implemented something that feel really like a basic feature
A way to where if you have a season, it would show the episodes that show after (With say a message {Not Released Yet} or {Upcoming})
This would allow users to see what episodes would be next after the one they saw
(Like how IMDB shows a few episodes after the one released)
There’s a similar feature suggestion. It’s not exactly the same but should also cover your request. Their focus is set a little wider, asking for a way to show missing episodes (which will also include episodes already listed in an online database that have not yet aired)
Got brought to this thread from a few others while trying to find what I wanted. Basically all I wanted to sort by total episode count not just my unwatched episode count.
On KODI I had an addon that would warn me if I skipped an episode, or maybe I had actually missed downloading/recording an episode, so that I didn’t watch through a season having skipped an episode.
