Originally Available Date Still Incorrect (XMLTV)

To this earlier discussion, still seeing the Originally Available date as 1900-01-01. Any plans / timeline to correct this?

Just to add - this is not an error but would be a change to improve what we do in event of the xmltv data does not have the relevant original air date

I created a python script to solve the intermittent lack of original air date in my xmltv feed from zap2it. Some shows have it, some dont. Regardless, if you are using xmltv as your guide data, this may work out for you, or it may not. I created it to solve a specific circumstance where plex wouldnt record TV shows, like local news broadcasts, that didnt have a different original air date on it.

Will check it out, thanks! I admit, was hoping Plex would fix this, thinking the logic captured above by @sa2000) seemed to be correct (to me at least 
 LOL!).
