This feature worked on previous versions of Plex.

When attempting to modify the Originally Available date to 2022-04-21, the date changes to 1970-01-01 after clicking the “Save Changes” button. The video is not a published work and there is no metadata “match” associated with this entry.

Known bug in 1.26, acknowledged by Plex.
Roll back or wait for next update.

Oh, I found an active bug report.

I was not able to find a bug report when searching initially.

Hopefully the bug will be resolved soon.
