I appreciate anyone to take the time to help me out. I’ve used Plex for years in the past but I’ve been away for a bit. I consider myself relatively tech savvy and I’ve never had an issue that seems so obvious yet fleeting. So I signed it from my account into need to use my MacBook Pro as the server and source of my media. Upon downloading the server it launches in Google Chrome I’ve also tried launching it in Safari. I signed up for Plex pass. Ultimately when I click on my media on the left all it does is it tell me once again to download Plex media server. The cycle continues repeatedly and every FAQ article I read simply says that is some sort of wizard should initiate and scan my hard drive or selected folders for media as I’m accustomed to years ago. I have no idea what I’m doing wrong if it’s some sort of issue regarding licensing that are in compatibility that I have to switch to regarding some foxy DNS whatever I’m not aware of. I did my best to avoid asking a question that I’m sure has been answered many times but can’t find a solution. Long story short; I hate people who is a long story short, alas how do I get started?
