I run my server on a windows 10 pc and currently have 21 8 terabyte external hard drives and have all the drive letters used up to “Z”. I have more drives to add but the computer ignores them because the alphabet ended. What can I do to continue building my collection?
Simplest solution: DrivePool https://stablebit.com/
You could also use Windows’ own pooling method ‘Storage Spaces’, but this is slower than DrivePool.

I do not think DrivePool will be your solution as the Computer must recognize all the drives in order for them to be pooled.
Something like Volume Mount Points might help.

You must be careful though: If you use this and a drive is failing, Plex cannot recognize this fact. All it sees is an empty folder.
If you now have ‘Empty trash automatically after every scan’ activated, Plex will happily remove all media (and all manually edited metadata!) on that drive from your library.
